Having grown up and lived in the Rocky Mountain West all my life there are few things that move me as often and as deeply as nature in this part of the country.  The scent of pine in the air, the scarlet hues in a sunset, the bugling of an elk in the distance, or the sparkle of late day sun over an alpine lake….all these things are the world I have come to know and love.  I experience great pleasure in attempting to capture the essence of quiet beauty which is a part of it all and bring it back to the viewer.

I have been both a plein air and studio oil painter for over 40 years. My subject matter includes landscapes, florals, wildlife from big game to small birds, domestic animals, and will also occasionally include the western ranch lifestyle. My journey continues…
